Notice is hereby given by the Two Rivers-Ottauquechee Regional Commission of a Public
Hearing for the purpose of hearing comments regarding issuance of a Determination of Energy
Compliance for the Pittsfield Town Plan pursuant to 24 V.S.A. Section 4352. The Public Hearing
will be held at 6:30 pm on Wednesday, May 24, 2023, beginning immediately after the public
hearing on Town Plan approval and confirmation for Pittsfield. This will be a hybrid meeting for
attendees. The meeting will be held at the Thompson Senior Center, Woodstock VT. It will also
be held via Zoom.

The Two Rivers-Ottauquechee Regional Commission has proposed that the Town of Pittsfield
has met the enhanced energy planning requirements and shall issue a Determination of Energy
Compliance.

Town Plan pursuant to 24 V.S.A. Section 4350. The Public Hearing will be held at 6:30 pm on

In addition, Per Title 24, Chapter 117, Section 4350 Regional Planning Commissions are
required to “review and confirm the planning process of its member municipalities at least twice
during an eight-year period…. and shall so confirm when a member municipality:
1. is engaged in a continuing process that, within a reasonable time, will result in a plan
which is consistent with the goals contained in Section 4302 of this Title; and
2. is maintaining its efforts to provide local funds for municipal and regional planning
purposes.”
The Two Rivers-Ottauquechee Regional Commission has proposed that the Town of Pittsfield
has met these tests and shall be confirmed. A Public Hearing will be held immediately following
the above-mentioned hearing on Wednesday, May 24, 2023, at the Thompson Senior Center,
Woodstock, VT, for the purpose of hearing comments regarding the review and confirmation of
the planning efforts for this municipality.

The Select Board of the Town of Pittsfield will hold a hearing on additional proposed revisions to the Pittsfield Town Plan at the Town Hall located at 56 Village Green, Pittsfield, VT on:
Any written comments from residents, landowners, neighboring towns, the Regional Planning Commission and the State shall be addressed to the Pittsfield Select Board either at this Public Hearing or by mail to PO Box 556, Pittsfield, VT 05762. The proposal covers all lands within the Town of Pittsfield and the revisions will replace the current Plan in its entirety.
Full copies of the draft Town Plan and Maps are available for review at the Pittsfield Town Office and www.pittsfieldvt.com.
