ACT 115 Compliance
To help ensure that Vermont residences are accessible to people with disabilities, Act 115 requires that, prior to the sale of a new one-family or multi-family dwelling, a seller must provide written disclosure to a prospective buyer detailing whether the construction complies with the residential construction standards required by Vermont law. VERMONT RESIDENTIAL BUILDING ENERGY STANDARDS
(VT-RBES)
Vermont's building Energy Codes - the Vermont Residential Building Energy Standards (VT-RBES) and Vermont Commercial Building Energy Standards (VT-CBES) - are minimum standards of energy efficiency that apply to all new residential construction, renovations, alterations, and repairs in Vermont.
