Jean Colver Sofield Scholarship: We have alerted all seniors in the town over the past couple of months about the application process after receiving an outstanding application from Olivia Grasso we have decided to award her the scholarship! Great work Olivia, we cant wait to see what you do with your academic career!

• Kris motions to let the CD mature and then transfer the funds back to the checking account, Pete seconds and it passes unanimously. At our next meeting we will discuss putting some funds into another CD for the summer break.

Pittsfield School Board Meeting Schedule for the 2025-2026 School Year 
The Pittsfield School Board’s regularly scheduled monthly meetings are held on the second  Wednesday of the month at 7:00 PM at the Pittsfield Town Office building. The following is a list of  monthly meetings for the school year:

Special meetings are sometimes necessary, particularly during budget preparation and prior to the  annual Town Meeting. Special meeting information will be posted in the designated sites at least 24  hours in advance of the special meeting. 
Emergency meetings may be necessary to address an unforeseen event or an emergency. Public  notice will be given as soon as possible. 
The Mountain Times is the local public newspaper used by the Pittsfield School District.

                              AGENDA 
1. Call to Order: Kris motions to call the meeting to order at 7:04 and it passes unanimously
2. Amendments to the Agenda: Discussion about the budget
3. Budget: The number of students is going up next year. We are getting money back from the school district soon ($11,000.00+-). Tuition is increasing $1,500 per pupil across the board for MVSU next year. The total budget is expected to go up $50,000 but we are still waiting on some final numbers from the state; legislature are currently meeting about the rates.We are offsetting this increase with our surplus to keep the cost down for residents. Kris motions to approve a budget of $965,270.00 Ray seconded the motion and it approved unanimously. Kris motions to approve the warning that will be amended to reflect the equalized pupil rate that will be provided by our business manager, Pete seconds and it was approved unanimously. Kris motions to approve the Annual school Directors Report Via email as soon as we receive our rates from Jim Fenn, Ray seconds and it approves unanimously.
