ADJOURNMENT
Ann called this Special Meeting of the Select Board to order at 6:04pm. Seconded by Joyce. All in favor. AJ moved to approve the Minutes of the June 16, 2022 meeting. Joyce seconded. All in favor.
OLD BUSINESS:
1.Appointments – Town Officials. Ann moved to appoint Mark Stugart to the Planning Commission for a three-year term and as a Trustee of Public Funds for a one-year term. AJ seconded. All in favor. Ann added that the Trustee position is an elected one, so Mark will have the choice to run at next year’s Town Meeting. The Secretary will send appointment letters to Mark.
NEW BUSINESS:
NEXT MEETINTG DATE: Thursday, July 21, 2022, at 6:00pm.
Joyce asked if the time for the next meeting could be changed to 5:00pm due to the potential for extended discussion of the ARPA fund topic. The Board agreed to the change.

NEW BUSINESS:
- Set 2022-2023 Tax Rate – The Anticipated Tax Rate as published in this year’s Town Report has changed from $.40 to $.4285 based on an increase in the Grand List from $1,038,383.00 to $1,246,575.25 as a result of the Town’s Reappraisal. This figure includes the approved Warned Items. There is good news from the Vermont Department of Taxes. The Homestead Education Tax Rate is $0.8432, and the Non-Homestead Education Tax Rate is $1.2152. This means that with the Articles approved at Town Meeting last March, the 2022 Resultant Tax Rate becomes $1.2717 for Homesteads and $1.6437 for Non-Homesteads. Ann moved that the Board accept and set the tax rates as provided by the Town Treasurer. Joyce seconded. All in favor. The State’s tax rate reduction is due to the use of surplus funds approved by the Legislature for this year only.
