Results of Reappraisal – available soon – Important Dates
Week of 4/15 – The booklet, which is an official Change of Appraisal notification, with new property values to be printed and mailed to all property owners. It will include dates to setup informational hearings about your properties as well as dates and requirements for formal grievance hearings should you wish to appeal.
Starting 4/19 – Property owners will be receiving Change of Appraisal notification booklets in the mail. A digital copy will be available on the Lister Page of the town website. Reviews these for results.
5/2, 5/3 – Informal discussion of your property valuation with the assessors by appointment.
5/5 – “Ask the Listers”, an evening group meeting opportunity to ask listers non-individual property specific questions about the conduct and impact of the reappraisal.
5/9 – Written notification of a desire to formally grieve the assessment of your property must be received by the end of the day, either by mail or email. (Refer to booklet for more info about what that notification should include.)
5/10, 5/11 – Formal grievance hearings will be held by appointment.
6/1 – Results of grievance hearings mailed by this date.
6/4 – Grand List lodged with Town Clerk
