Herb Kuendig called the meeting to order at 5:05pm with members Ray Colton, Carl Oertel, Tim Carter and Glenn Reinauer (by phone) in attendance. Ray seconded. All in favor.

Minutes Approval-Herb asked for discussion or comments on minutes for the August 24, 2020 and September 14, 2020 meetings. Carl Oertel moved meeting minutes be approve. Tim Carter seconded. All in Favor.
Old Business:
#1 Review Design Proposals-Herb said the committee received proposals from four engineering firms who were sent the December 2019 Criterium Inspection report and the existing conditions drawings of Town Hall done by Kuendig Design. Herb and Glenn met with engineers from Waite Design & Engineering and Marble Valley Engineering for pre-proposal site visits of Town Hall.
Criterium: Retainer $1295 10 to 15 hours for Stamped drawings @ $185 an hour for travel, site evaluation, design $135 an hour for CAD drawings
Waite Design: $4,500 lump sum plus reimbursable expenses not to exceed $500
Marble Valley Engineering: Not to exceed $1,100
Engineering Ventures: $4,500
Joyce and Ray suggested that when it came time to price materials for the project that used steel beams be considered as a cost saving measure. Herb recommended that the committee contract with Kevin Smith of Marble Valley as the low bidder and because the town has used his services before. Glenn said he felt comfortable going with Kevin. Ray, Tim and Carl would like to meet with Kevin to discuss his design ideas before voting on the contract. Herb moved to arrange such a meeting for Tuesday, October 6, 2020 at 5pm. Ray seconded. All in favor.
New Business:
#1 Next Steps-the committee discussed the need to drill into the basement concrete floor to determine the depth and aid the structural engineer in designing support columns for the beams.
Herb moved to adjourned the meeting at 5:35pm. Tim seconded. All in favor.
