- Update Phase One Construction Schedule:Members discussed projects that have been completed as of this date. VT Concrete Cutters has cut the basement slab for the footings, Klein Masonry has been hired to haul the concrete demo and dig the holes for the footings. The hole has been cut near the front steps for the steel to be installed, Hal Peters has purchased the rebar for the concrete footings. Ray had several questions about the next step in phase one and suggested that committee members monitor any water intrusion and note where its coming in so the committee can come up with a plan to mitigate potential flooding which most likely will have to wait until spring to begin. The committee also discussed waiting until the steel beams had been installed before determining whether additional supports will be needed. Members also agreed that putting the stairs and walls back together will remain in house. Carl will also insure that the concrete contractor will have access for his chute through the middle basement window.
- Phase Two Discussion: Members reviewed some of the future projects outlined in the Town Hall Advisory Committee report and agreed that a priority should be addressing the exterior walls of Town Hall to insulate and reside. Ray moved that the committee request that an Article be placed on the Warrant for Town Meeting asking voters to approve $20,000 for the next phase of repairing Town Hall. Herb seconded. All in favor.
There being no other business, Mike moved to adjourn the meeting at 5:45pm. Jeremy seconded. All in favor.
