Adjournment:
Herb called the meeting to order at 5:02pm with Glenn Reinauer, Ray Colton, Mike Moran, Jeremy Rayner and Tim Carter in attendance.  Joyce Stevens attended as a member of the public.
 
Minutes Approval:March 1, 2021-Glenn moved that the meeting minutes be accepted. Mike seconded. All in favor. 
 
Old Business

1. Punch List-Herb updated the committee on progress on the punch list of tasks to restore the basement. Mike, Glenn and Tim volunteered to continue the work of removing sheet rock and spray foam. The Committee discussed getting another 20 yard dumpster to clean out the debris. Ann will price services and order delivery depending on the progress of the demo work. Water migration has been noted in three spots in the basement along the south wall near the back entrance and the lift and along the west wall in the alcove.
2. Committee Charge-Herb asked if members of the committee would be willing to serve on the Pittsfield Building Advisory Committee which the Select Board would like to set up as an appointed board with one year terms and quarterly meetings. Herb, Glenn, Jeremy, Tim and Mike volunteered. Ann will report back to the Select board.
3. Electrical contractor- Herb met with Craig Petersen to inspect the electrical and get an idea of work to be completed. The committee agreed to see if they could work with Craig on the electrical system demo. Herb will call Craig to schedule another meeting.
4. Basement design- final kitchen layout is being completed. Waiting on advice from another catering firm.

New Business

1. Div of Fire Safety Inspection-Herb met with fire Inspector Patrick Banks who partially approved the permit finding no issues with the installation of the steel flooring system. Banks also approved the use of 5/8 sheetrock in the furnace room to comply with fire codes. Banks is also requiring a final signoff by the structural engineer. Herb will arrange an inspection with  Marble Engineering. Once the electrical contractor is hired, the committee will need to update the permit information.
2. Next Steps-the Committee agreed on a priority list of tasks to complete: 
   1. Demolition of walls
   2. Hire electrical contractor
   3. Repair south block wall
   4. Fire code sheetrock of furnace room

 
There being no further business of the committee, Jeremy moved to adjourn the meeting at 5:57pm. Tim seconded. All in favor.

Herb called the meeting to order at 5:05pm with Glenn Reinauer, Ray Colton, Mike Moran, Carl Oertel in attendance. 
 
Minutes Approval:February 8, 2021- Ray moved to accepted the minutes. Mike seconded. All in favor.
 
Old Business

1. Update on Phase One- All contracts for phase one flooring have been completed. Carl and Mike have re-installed the stairwell, rebuilt walls and completed demo work. They put together a list of future tasks to restore the basement space  for public use that was distributed to meeting attendees. The list will be given to Committee members not present . It was agreed that members will review the list and edit/make suggestions by emailing Ann who will update the list for discussion at the next meeting. Members also agreed that contracting a commercial electrician to inspect and update wiring; rewire fire alarms and install carbon monoxide alarms should be a priority. Carl will call someone he knows. Carl also suggested that all insulation spray foam be removed from the walls to make re-wiring easier. Herb will contact the Pittsfield fire marshal for advice and an inspection if needed. 

New Business

1. Next Steps-Herb presented a rough sketch of the basement layout for a new kitchen and storage space for tables and chairs. Members preferred not to have walls around the kitchen space. Members suggested that the committee get a local caterer to look at the design for suggestions. Ann has already contacted Vermont Farms Catering to look at the space and make suggestions and is waiting to set up a time to meet. Joyce Stevens has already offered her suggestions for what is needed in a catering kitchen. There was some discussion about three options for the ceiling, leaving the space open and painting steel, and duct work black, cleaning the basement windows of insulation spray to let in natural light; a dropped ceiling all one level; a dropped ceiling with different heights. Glenn said he would talk with a painter on what to use to treat and seal the floor boards to prevent dust and dirt from the first floor space.

 
There being no further business of the committee, Herb moved to adjourn the meeting at 5:52pm. Carl seconded. All in favor.
